He closed out his 2-year-old campaign with a pair of unplaced finishes in stakes races at Parx and Aqueduct, respectively. The gray or roan Cross Traffic colt made his 3-year-old debut a winning one for new trainer Saffie Joseph Jr., leading from start to finish in a 6 ¾-length triumph Jan. 11, 2020, at Gulfstream Park. He made his stakes debut in the second division of the Risen Star Stakes Presented by Lamarque Ford Feb. 15 at Fair Grounds at finished third. He followed with a game runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby March 21 at Fair Grounds.
